The initial investment may be of a rented shop or office, a large refrigerator with deep fridge and on inventories. The calculations may be around Rs. 2,00,000/- approximately.

What may be the earnings ? The calculation of earnings is difficult over here but based on which type of food you prepare and what price you keep. Let us do it by assuming things. Let us say that you get 200 orders per day. According to the website track.in, average order value for zomato is Rs. 430/-. Thus, you may get Rs. 86,000/- per day. According to the website restaurantreport, out of the revenue, 35 % is the cost of preparation of food which includes cost of keeping the cooks and cost of food. Let us assume that 30 % is the discount offered from your end. The remaining 35 % is Rs. 30,100/- per day. This converts into Rs. 9,03,000/- per month. Make people wear slipper and gain Rs. 2,50,000/- per month.

Many of us wishes to have more comfortable shoes. The shoes or footwear may be casual but easy to wear and easy to maintain. The easier casual wear is chappal, slipper, or flipflop. According to wikipedia, flip-flops or slippers are a type of sandal, typically worn as a form of casual wear. They consist of a flat sole held loosely on the foot by a Y-shaped strap known as a toe thong that passes between the first and second toes and around both sides of the foot or can be a hard base with a strap across all the toes (these can also be called sliders).
This style of footwear has been worn by the people of many cultures throughout the world, originating as early as the ancient Egyptians in 1,500 B.C. The modern flip-flop descends from the Japanese zōri, which became popular after World War II when soldiers returning to the United States brought them back. They became popular unisex summer footwear starting in the 1960s.

How to start the business of making slippers or flipflops ? There are various phases following which you may start a business.

1. Phase 1. Legal procedures.

First of all, you need to register your business with a name with Registrar of companies as company. You may also register as individual or limited liability partnership too. You need to obtain the trade license from the local city authority. You also need to registration as small scale unit and pollution authorities.

2. Phase 2. Production procedure and raw materials.

2. Drilling machine.
3. Combined Finishing Machine.
4. Stapling Machine.

7. Hand operated tools & equipment.

The major raw materials required are rubber sheet and strap. You will also need to procure the packaging consumables. Additionally, you can procure these raw materials from the local wholesale market or from the manufacturer directly.

The slipper manufacturing process includes obtaining the microcellular sheet from other units. Then, give them the desired shape with the help of cutting machine/mold. Also, you can obtain straps from other units. Thereafter, fix these straps to the chappals with the help of foot operated machine. To give finishing touches to it, put the straps in finishing machine. After the quality check of these chappals, pack them in a polythene bag. Finally, despatch them for the markets.
Rubber Sheet → Sole Cutting → Drilling → Strap Fittings → Finishing → Final Inspection → Packing

You can also start with a slipper making manual or semiautomatic machine available on indiamart. The manual machine at Rs. 10,000/- cost can produce 1,000 pairs a day.

Distribution and promotion is a key part for slipper manufacturing business. You need to distribute via physical distributor or dealers or can sell online.

We are professional today. Many of you may be working in corporate houses. We have to wear formal clothes at our workplaces. Only wearing formal clothes do not work ! We have to wear clothes which are ironed well. What is ironing ? According to wikipedia, Ironing is the use of a machine, usually a heated tool (an iron), to remove wrinkles from fabric. The heating is commonly done to a temperature of 180–220 °Celsius, depending on the fabric. Ironing works by loosening the bonds between the long-chain polymer molecules in the fibers of the material. While the molecules are hot, the fibers are straightened by the weight of the iron, and they hold their new shape as they cool. Some fabrics, such as cotton, require the addition of water to loosen the intermolecular bonds. Many modern fabrics (developed in or after the mid-twentieth century) are advertised as needing little or no ironing. Permanent press clothing was developed to reduce the ironing necessary by combining wrinkle-resistant polyester with cotton.

The first known use of heated metal to "iron" clothes is known to have occurred in China. The electric iron was invented in 1882, by Henry W. Seeley. Seeley patented his "electric flatiron" on June 6, 1882 ( U.S. Patent no. 259,054 ).

Play school - earn while play.

Have you seen with love a small child going to play ? Do you like to play with children of less than 5 years age ? Do you love to talk to small kids ? Do you love to teach small kids ? If above answers are yes, you are fit for starting a playschool or preschool play group. Play while learn is a new concept which is slowly becoming a trend in India.

On wikipedia it is shown as preschool play group. A pre-school playgroup, or in everyday usage just a playgroup, is an organised group providing care and socialisation for children under five. The term is widely used in the United Kingdom. Playgroups are less formal than the preschool education of nursery schools. They do not provide full-time care, operating for only a few hours a day during school term time, often in the mornings only. They are staffed by nursery nurses or volunteers, not by nursery teachers, and are run by private individuals or charities, rather than by the state or companies.
In the United Kingdom, since around the 1980s, the traditional territory of the playgroup has been encroached on by the expansion of more formal nursery education, and playgroups often now cater only for two- and three-year-olds before they move onto a nursery school.

While starting a playschool, you need to take into account ambience, teachers, events, marketing, timetable, feedback system, personal attention, trips, discounts, expansion, operations, management, food, health checkups, branding etc.. You need to keep a good ambience of the school where shouting, crying, offensive words, unethical activities and bad environment around must not be there. The teachers need to have patience, zeal, qualifications and aptitude towards the overall teaching learning process. Keeping regular events will invite parents to visit your playschool frequently which will build a relation between your school and the parents. Even the children will feel okay with parents at school too. Before starting and while operating, you need to market your school in a great way. Never use cheap tactics like discount to all. Discounts must be to few deserving parents only. You need to attend personally every child so that they learn and tell the same things to their parents. Time tables and management of overall activities will motivate children to learn. If you are providing food, that must be planned and you must show parents about the diet plans so that they know what is needed to the children and if any allergies are there with their children, they can inform you priorly. Health checkups for children will enhance the trustworthiness of your school. You need to build and maintain brand name of the playschool too.
There are opportunities for franchising. The early childhood education is growing and there are several education institutes which can be considered as national players. They provide you franchisee and you can open it up. The syllabus, methodology and training are usually provided by them and they either charge initial fees or a part in profit or both. The leading players are Kidzee, Eurokids, LittleMillennium, Bachpan, Kangaroo kids, smartkids, podar jumbo, pebbles etc..

As written on the website blog.ipleaders.in, there is no specific legislation or certification for setting up a play school in India. However, laws like the private school education acts enacted by teh state government needs to be thoroughly considered. In addition to the state government, you need to follow and fulfil formalities related to the municipal corporations. For example, The District Elementary Education Officer is the competent authority for the approval of pre schools as per draft code regulations for play schools 2015 in Tamilnadu. The Maharashtra Preschool Centres ( Regulation of Admission ) Act 1996 provides for compulsory registration of preschools.

If we count the cost of starting a playschool, we may have to pay a franchisee fees to any of the player or starting your own brand. Let us take your own brand. You need two teaching rooms, an office and a room for library and multimedia. You also need some space to play for children. In addition to the above, you need furniture. The furniture may be worth Rs. 2.5 lakhs as shown on Indiamart. Including a television for multimedia purpose, toys, books, a computer, cctv and airconditions your total fixed cost will be around Rs. 5 lakhs. You need teachers too ! One teacher, One teacher and  administrative staff and one servant ( aya ) and breakfast maker lady will work.  You yourself can be a teacher and admin. person. You may pay Rs. 10,000/- for teacher and Rs. 5,000/- for servant or aya and breakfast maker. For breakfast, you need approximately 15,000/- per month. In total, your variable cost is Rs. 35,000/- including miscellaneous costs. It is converted as Rs. 4,20,000/- per year. The marketing cost for the year may be Rs. 1,40,000/-. Thus, the total cost comes as Rs. 5, 60,000/-. You may run in two shifts of 4 hours each within these costs.
Let us talk income. The two classrooms are of capacity of 30 students each. The playschools with air conditioned environment and all above facilities in hyderabad charges around Rs. 2,000/- per child per month. In Delhi, the cost is from 15,00/- to Rs. 3,500/- per child per month. If you charge Rs. 1500/- per child per month,   The total revenue thus comes as Rs. 21,60,000/-. Thus, removing the costs, your profit is Rs. 16 lakh for the year.

Chances of growth are good. You may utilize the space for yoga class, music class or any other hobby classes as written in previous articles. You may further go for a registered school for your outgoing children too. You can start a brand name and provide franchisee to other business persons too ! You can charge fees for franchisee and a part of profit. Providing your talent, skills, work, syllabus and marketing online for franchisee is a good option.

Earn 30 lakhs per year with matchsticks production.

A matchbox is an item required by everyone. Match sticks bring light. In the era of ligher to lighten the gas stove, a matchbox is still present in every house. To lighten agarbatti ( insense sticks ), majority still uses match sticks. It is a small handy tool which starts fire. A matchbox is a small item even to be kept by defense persons.

According to wikipedia, a match is a tool for starting a fire. Typically, modern matches are made of small wooden sticks or stiff paper. One end is coated with a material that can be ignited by frictional heat generated by striking the match against a suitable surface. Wooden matches are packaged in matchboxes, and paper matches are partially cut into rows and stapled into matchbooks. The coated end of a match, known as the match "head", consists of a bead of active ingredients and binder; often colored for easier inspection. There are two main types of matches: safety matches, which can be struck only against a specially prepared surface, and strike-anywhere matches, for which any suitably frictional surface can be used. We will talk about safety matches here.
You need to make a plan first. You need to get the necessary licenses to produce the matches. You can get loan and then land, building and machinery. This process in not a home made process. You need to go to establish a production unit in any of the industrial areas. After that you can think of production process. As shown on the website madehow, the process of manufacturing matchsticks involve several steps.

  •          Cutting the matchsticks.
  •          Treating the matchsticks.
  •          Forming the matchheads.
  •          Packaging the matches.

Post production process is even important. You may go for transportation and marketing activities. Your marketing is not in a huge way in initial stages but, it must be effective. The transportation must be with care as you carry inflammable matchsticks.

As written on the website projectreports.eiriindia.org, the cost for matchbox plant and machinery Rs. 2.67 lakhs and working capital 8.85 lakhs. The total amount is approximately Rs. 12 lakhs and 300 square meter land. From that plant, daily 50,000/- match boxes can be produced. Assuming the cost for land and building as 30 lakhs, the total cost comes to Rs. 42 lakhs. The cost for employees, marketing cost and other related costs if included, the total cost reaches to almost 50 lakhs. The rate of return can be calculated as 60 %. Thus, in a year, you can earn 30 lakhs which is a huge profit.

If you wish to test the market first, you can purchase matchsticks from online sites like Indiamart. On it, the price seen is Rs. 342/- per 1000 boxes which means 34 paise per box. You can start selling at Rs. 1 including transportation, marketing and other costs. You can get Rs. 658/- by selling 1000 units. Another online company sells 600 boxes at Rs. 225/-. If you get success, you can purchase machinery and invest 50 lakhs.

Growth chances are good. You can start producing firecrackers from match boxes. Firecrackers have much more amount of profit compared to matchstick production. You can even start producing lighters from matchboxes. However, the technology for producing lighter is different. You can sell matchboxes online too !

Mobile recharge, cover and handsfree business can earn more than Rs. 5 lakhs per year.

Today, everybody needs a mobile. According to the website wikipediaA mobile phone, cell phone, cellphone, or hand phone, sometimes shortened to simply mobile, cell or just phone, is a portable telephone that can make and receive calls over a radio frequency link while the user is moving within a telephone service area. The radio frequency link establishes a connection to the switching systems of a mobile phone operator, which provides access to the public switched telephone network ( P. S. T. N. ). Modern mobile telephone services use a cellular network architecture, and, therefore, mobile telephones are called cellular telephones or cell phones, in North America. In addition to telephony, 2000s-era mobile phones support a variety of other services, such as text messaging, MMS, email, Internet access, short-range wireless communications ( infrared, Bluetooth ), business applications, video games, and digital photography. Mobile phones offering only those capabilities are known as feature phones; mobile phones which offer greatly advanced computing capabilities are referred to as smartphones.

A mobile alone is not enough. Mobile with sim card works ! The sim card once taken either have some postpaid bills to be paid or needs to be recharged after few days to few months depending on the plans. Today, almost 9 out of 10 mobiles have prepaid recharge plans. The prepaid recharge means a need and a need means a business !

How to start a mobile recharge business ? According to the website roiinvesting, there are various steps of starting a mobile recharge business like location for your mobile recharge shop, getting mobile recharge facility, introducing other value added services and marketing your recharge business. Recharge business can be started with few sim cards which are different to the normal ones and can recharge other mobiles. They need to have much more balances and deposits than the normal sim cards. But, it doesn't go in lakhs. Keeping a mobile phone with such sim cards can start your business. There is exactly no need of shop too ! If you are a student or working where a large number of people are daily meeting you, this business can run in a great way.

If you do business full time, only recharge business may not earn enough money for you ! If you need to earn more, you need to start some other related business simultaneously with the mobile recharge business. With only recharge business, your time even will not be utilized fully and thus you may be wasting resources. Thus, here we assumed you to start two related businesses with mobile recharge. The other two businesses include mobile cover and mobile earphone businesses.

In India, we may not like to wear helmets but, we like to have a cover to our mobiles ! Funny but truth. Mobile covers may be of different types like transparent plastic covers, leather covers, flip covers, printed covers, customized covers etc.. Different types of covers can be available wholesale on Indiamart.

We like music. We may like to talk on handsfree if we talk much more on phone. We may be on vehicles or more thinking about harmful effects of mobile. All the above things lead us to use a handsfree. Handsfree are of various types like wired, wireless bluetooth, zip, one or two ears etc..

Taking all three together can be a good business. A consumer needs recharge regularly. With recharges, he may need mobile covers or mobile handsfree earphone occasionally. Let us calculate cost and earning of the total of three businesses.

Cost of establishing the mobile recharge shop is not more. A small shop can have rent of Rs. 10,000/- per month approximately. Investment on inventories is not more. You can invest 1,00,000/- for deposit to various recharge companies, investment in keeping inventories of covers and handsfrees.

Various companies for mobile recharge gives different commission in the range of 2.5 % to 3.5 %. However, as described on the website paywish, almost every company provides commission of 3.5 % to retailers. This includes Reliance GSM, Reliance CDMA, BSNL 3G BSNL topup, BSNL recharge, Airtel, BSNL special topup, Aircel, Jio, Vodafone, MTNL, MTNL Mumbai topup, MTNL Mumbai recharge, Idea etc.. This means a clear business. Let us calculate the profit. If you recharge approximately Rs. 1000/- per hour means for 10 hours, you are recharging more than Rs.  10,000/-. The recharges means Rs. 350/- per day. In the pick hours, people wish to have more recharges while in rest hours, people do not recharge.

Now let's talk about mobile cover. If you take mobile covers in wholesale, the price on indiamart is Rs. 12/- per piece and you can sell it at Rs. 99/-. Rs. 87 per piece is the profit. If you can sell daily 10 covers, it can earn Rs. 870/- per day. Remember, mobile is a fast moving good in the market and the covers if not sold for a device will be of no use and convert in loss.

Wired earphones are availabe in Rs. 20/- only which can also be sold at Rs. 60/- - Rs. 100/- and thus, can earn Rs. 40/- - Rs. 80/- per piece. Calculating average of Rs. 60/- per piece and if you can sell 10 earphone pieces, you are getting Rs. 600/- per day out of earphones only. Earphones usually does not change with models as quick as covers. Thus, calculating total of only 3 items, recharge Rs. 350/- per day, mobile covers Rs. 870/- per day and handsfree Rs. 600/- per day, you may be able to get Rs. 1820/- per day. This is converted as more than Rs. 54,000/- per month. Removing rent of shop Rs. 10,000/-, you can get Rs. 44,000/- per month. For a year, it is almost Rs. 5lakhs.

Chances of growth are good. You can go for other items like bluetooth, memory cards, registration for new sims and other related businesses. You can even start selling mobile instruments and earn much more. Providing download services for various apps and other things can also be done. Opportunity for selling the abovementioned things online is always there. That can grow your business multifold.

We need to keep somebody to clean our offices, houses, streets etc.. This need gives birth to the business of commercial cleanliness.

The scope of work may include all internal, general and routine cleaning - including floors, tiles, partition walls, internal walls, suspended ceilings, lighting, furniture and cleaning, window cleaning, deep cleans of sanitary conveniences and washing facilities, kitchens and dining areas, consumables and feminine hygiene facilities as well as cleaning of telephones, IT, and other periodic cleaning as required. Carpet cleaning though, even with regular vacuuming, needs hot water extraction applied every 18 to 24 months. External cleaning, litter picking, and removal of graffiti may also be incorporated.

According to the website reviewsxp, there are several advantages of cleaning business.

·         Revenue potential is higher due to lower investment on depreciable assets.
·         Flexibility to operate on a full-time or part-time basis.
·         No need to maintain office infrastructure, you can also operate from home.
·         The wide array of service choices available.
·         Satisfied customers would bring you more business through word of mouth promotion.
·         Quality consciousness and strict vigil would ensure continuity of business.
·         Profit margins would never dwindle because of provisions of minimum wages.

How to start a commercial cleaning business ? The website startcommercialcleaningbusiness writes several steps.
  •          What buildings to clean.
  •          Business name.
  •          Business license and bank account.
  •          Commercial cleaning insurance and bond.
  •          Rates.
  •         Advertising.

According to the website wikihow, there are several steps of starting a business of commercial cleaning.

Part 1. Designing your business.

  •          Decide to be a commercial or consumer driven business.
  •          Figure out what services you want to offer.
  •          Consider opening a franchise or running your own business.
  •         Choose a location.

Part 2. Making it official.

  •          Pick a name.
  •          Get your business set up.
  •          Get liability insurance.
  •          Obtain start up capital.

Part 3. Getting set up.

  •          Get your equipment ready.
  •          Buy a company vehicle.
  •          Hire or subcontract workers as needed.
  •          Create a pricing structure.
  •          Set up an accounting system.

Part 4. Building a brand.

  •          Promote your business.
  •          Be trustworthy.

In India, you need to first do some market research in which you need to know the cleaning requirements of the offices or houses or places. On this base, you can decide your price. The base can be on what to clean. Usually offices have carpet area to clean and toilets to clean. Many offices now have kitchens. Cleaning doors, windows, walls, dustbins etc. are also to be kept in mind. Cleaning water tanks, glasses and other things also to be counted before calculating your business. You should also consider tank cleaning, pressure washing, industries and chemicals etc. while cleaning service contracts.

The next stage is to make a plan. You can check the availability of equipments you need. Manpower requirements and the availability should also be checked. You should think of their recruitment and training. The behaviour of various offices and the behaviour of the cleaning people must match and for that you need to provide training to your staff. They may need a training on electric and mechanical instruments they use. They may also need a training on various cleaning chemicals and their handling.

After the plan making, you need to establish an office and a name. A brand name must be suitable and such that people can memorize and recall you for your brand name. After that, you need to take all legal permissions specifically, for the handling of hazardous chemicals and items. You may go for formalities with local panchayat, municipal corporations etc. for dumping the waste materials too.

The next step is here now. You need to market your business to various offices. You may take help of leaflets, hoardings, advertisements with newspapers etc.. The most effective methods may include personal meeting and demonstrations. Various companies go for tenders. You must have understanding of process and tactics of tendering. Getting the first contract is the key. The next will be easier.

The real work starts here. Implement your plan with full willingness and hard work. It will build your brand image. This will bring further and more contracts for you.

The rent of an office is approximately Rs. 15,000/- per month. Various cleaning materials you need to purchase may cost you around Rs. 15,000/- more. The cost of keeping a contact person per month in the office is Rs. 10,000/- approximately. Considering various other costs, you may end up with almost Rs. 50,000/- per month.

What earnings you can make out of the services ? In a contract of Central Railway, cleaning with dry sweeping and wet cleaning of office of 2256 square meter has approximate price of 11 lakhs plus. Here, 1 supervisor should also to be employed for 8 hours a day. The contractor must have several types of material like room / toilet air freshner spray, broom hard and soft, buckets, citrus glass cleaner pump, antiseptic disinfectant liquid, dry mop refill, dry mop stick, dust pan, duster feather with bamboo, dusters for floor, glass, table, floor wiper, garbage bag, various sprays, mask, napthalene balls, plastic mug, detergent powder etc.. A supervisor with two persons for cleaning can do the work. If you pay Rs. 15,000/- per month to the supervisor and Rs. 7,500/- to both cleaning persons, you can get per month cost of Rs. 30,000/-. With marketing, office rent and material costs, it may be around Rs. 40,000/- per month. It is converted to yearly Rs. 4,80,000/-. If you consider it roughly Rs. 5 lakh, you can earn 6 lakhs plus per year in a single contract. This clearly shows that more than 50 % is the profit margin.
Assume you are getting ten such contracts in a year. You can earn 60 lakh per year ( as shown in previous para, you are getting 6 lakhs per contract ) out of which your office expences counted above is Rs. 6 lakh. You are earning Rs. 54 lakh per year, that means Rs. 4.5 lakh per month.

Chances of growth are good. You can go for various contracts with schools, colleges, hospitals, malls etc. in addition to the companies and government offices. You can even go for collecting garbage and clean the city with municipal corporations. Providing cleaning materials can be a peripheral business which can earn extra money for you !

The process looks good but there are several issues that make you thinking before starting the library business. The major issues here are the cost of rent, furniture, service taxes, purchasing books, air conditioning etc..

Being a librarian is a good job. Almost every unviersity in India has a library course called B. Lib. And M. Lib.. According to the website payscale, on an average a librarian gets Rs. 2,83,974/- per year. The pay is in the range of Rs. 1,36,000/- to Rs. 5,49,000/- per year. According to the website indeed, the average salary is Rs. 16,335/- per month.

You can start a business library of specific choice. The specific library caters to a small segment of readers. For example, you can start a library of books of competitive exams. The reading room with the library gives a good ambience and start.

Initially, you can rent a school or college in extra time. You can even opt for few rooms only of the institute for library and reading. The rent may include money and free use of the books for the school or college. The self finance institute may be very much ready to do that because for them it is an extra income. The rent may be around Rs. 30,000/- per month. The readymade reading room and furniture is available there. The books you purchase may be 1000 initially for competitive examinations. The 1000 books at approximately Rs. 200/- per book may cost you Rs. 2,00,000/-. One computer and printer is needed worth Rs. 30,000/-. The operating hours may be different to the school / college in which you are running the library. Let us assume the operating hours are 2.00 p. m. to 11.00 p. m. if the school / college is of morning. You need a person who can seat there, exchange books and maintain the environment. The person may charge approximately Rs. 12,500/- per month. One security person may take Rs. 7,500/- per month. Thus, you have expences per month is rent Rs. 30,000/- plus manpower Rs. 20,000/- and miscellaneous Rs. 5,000/- expences for new books, newspapers and magazines  You may charge a fees of Rs. 600/- per person per month with carry away a book of their choice daily. You may probably get 300 - 500 readers per month. You may be able to get 1,80,000/- per month if you get 300 readers. Removing expences of Rs. 55,000/- per month, you may be able to get Rs. 1,25,000/- per month ! That comes as Rs. 15 lakh per year !
Chances of growth are good. You can expand to more books. You may opt for e books library or audio library with the traditional books. You can also opt for joining hands with international libraries like British library. You may even start different categories of library like library for management students, library for engineering students, library for commerce and arts students etc.. You can start digital library with online subscription of various book publishers, journals and magazines. Print and sell t shirts : Earn Rs. 18,00,000/- per year.

The modern era is of t shirts instead of tailored shirts which after choice of cloth, takes days to come to your hands. Even the choice making of clothes means imaging yourself in shirts made from your clothes. The t shirt is flexible, trendy and cash and wear kind of apparel which is liked by majority of youngsters. The t shirts are much cheaper than tailored shirts and are easy to wear.

According to Wikipedia, a T-shirt (or t shirt, or tee) is a style of unisex fabric shirt named after the T shape of its body and sleeves. Traditionally it has short sleeves and a round neckline, known as a crew neck, which lacks a collar. T-shirts are generally made of a stretchy, light and inexpensive fabric and are easy to clean.

Typically made of cotton textile in a stockinette or jersey knit, it has a distinctively pliable texture compared to shirts made of woven cloth. Some modern versions have a body made from a continuously knitted tube, produced on a circular knitting machine, such that the torso has no side seams. The manufacture of T-shirts has become highly automated and may include cutting fabric with a laser or a water jet.

The T-shirt evolved from undergarments used in the 19th century and, in the mid-20th century, transitioned from undergarment to general-use casual clothing.

A V-neck T-shirt has a V-shaped neckline, as opposed to the round neckline of the more common crew neck shirt (also called a U-neck). V-necks were introduced so that the neckline of the shirt does not show when worn beneath an outer shirt, as would that of a crew neck shirt.

The t shirts are generally made out of cotton, polyester or a blend of both. Stretchable t shirts are made of knit fabrics. There are various parts of your t shirt like label, neckband, sleeve, bond on sleeve hem and garment hem. Here, the machines integrate cutting, assembling and stitching for the most efficient operations. You must know a bit of seams, styling, cutting, assembling the front and back, assembling the sleeves, stitching the hem, adding pockets, stitching the shoulder seams, attaching the neckband, finishing the neckline, label setting, other optional features and finishing operations as described on madehow.com. You must pay attention to quality control and marketing the t shirts. As shown on shopify.in, you also must pay attention to your niche, designs, validating designs, source quality materials, developing brands and setting up shop.

As written by The Times of India, now becoming a t shirt entrepreneur is a breeze. Anybody can be a t shirt selling entrepreneur as few companies provide custom t shirts. Thus, instead of producing a t shirt, you may start with only printing and giving to the customers as per their requirements.

You can purchase better machines by investing Rs. 1,00,000 to Rs. 2,00,000. Considering other costs, your fixed cost may be around Rs. 1,00,000/- and the cost for space. This business can be started at house too with legal formalities. The cost of inventory may be around Rs. 1,00,000/- if you purchase 1,000 t shirts at a time. Keeping a person for delivery to retail shops may take Rs. 10,000/- and other variable costs may be around Rs. 10,000/- per month.

Think of various designs fitting in the minds of youth, contact retailers and give it to them. Customized orders can be taken up from various schools, colleges, educational institutes, companies, groups, clubs, parties etc.. Keeping a low price as Rs. 199/- to Rs. 399/-, you may be able to sell 1,000 t shirts in a month. Considering average price as Rs. 300/-, you may be able to get Rs. 200/- per t shirt and 2,00,000/- per 1000 t shirt. Removing the cost of the person and other variable costs, you are earning Rs. 1,80,000/- per month in just investment of Rs. 2,00,000/- as cost of machine, computer, inventory and other costs. Removing marketing costs as Rs. 30,000/- per month, you are able to get Rs. 1,50,000/- per month. That converts into Rs. 18,00,000/- per year.

Chances of growth are good. You can go online on websites like flipkart, amazon, snapdeal etc. for selling your custom t shirts. You can also opt for your own website. Free photocopy can earn Rs. 99 lakhs per year, really ?!!!!

Was there a need of photocopy for you ? What a silly question ! Everybody need a photocopy which we call xerox copy from the brand name of Xerox. As defined by collins dictionary, a photocopy is a copy of a document made using a photocopier. According to the website Wikipedia, A photocopier (also known as a copier or copy machine) is a machine that makes copies of documents and other visual images onto paper or plastic film quickly and cheaply. Most modern photocopiers use a technology called xerography, a dry process that uses electrostatic charges on a light-sensitive photoreceptor to first attract and then transfer toner particles (a powder) onto paper in the form of an image. Heat, pressure or a combination of both is then used to fuse the toner onto the paper. Copiers can also use other technologies such as ink jet, but xerography is standard for office copying. Earlier versions included the Gestetner stencil duplicator, invented by David Gestetner in 1881. Commercial xerographic office photocopying was introduced by Xerox in 1959, and it gradually replaced copies made by Verifax, Photostat, carbon paper, mimeograph machines, and other duplicating machines.

How photocopier works ? It works through several steps as given below.

  • Charging: cylindrical drum is electrostatically charged by a high voltage wire called a corona wire or a charge roller. The drum has a coating of a photoconductive material. A photoconductor is a semiconductor that becomes conductive when exposed to light.
  • Exposure: A bright lamp illuminates the original document, and the white areas of the original document reflect the light onto the surface of the photoconductive drum. The areas of the drum that are exposed to light become conductive and therefore discharge to the ground. The area of the drum not exposed to light (those areas that correspond to black portions of the original document) remains negatively charged.
  • Developing: The toner is positively charged. When it is applied to the drum to develop the image, it is attracted and sticks to the areas that are negatively charged (black areas), just as paper sticks to a balloon with a static charge.
  • Transfer: The resulting toner image on the surface of the drum is transferred from the drum onto a piece of paper with a higher negative charge than the drum.
  • Fusing: The toner is melted and bonded to the paper by heat and pressure rollers.

Free photocopy ? Yes. For documents only you can give free photocopy to each of your customer. Price of a photocopy is retail market is Rs. 2 per copy. But, you can charge from the advertisers who give advertisements at the back of the photocopy. This is a win - win situation. The advertiser wishes that you preserve his advertisement for months to years. In a pamphlet insertion, people with throw away the pamphlet after reading. But, if the advertisement is at the back of the photocopy of their document, then they will preserve the paper for years and look again and again the advertisements.

On the other hand, customers get free photocopy of their documents and they will be much more than happy !!!!.

As a businessman, you get plenty of advertisements and plenty of customers.

What is the cost of the machine and operations ? As written on indiamart, a used commercial photocopier machine can be around Rs. 35,000/- to Rs. 50,000/-. With a rented shop worth Rs. 15,000/- a month, you can start off. Contact advertisers to give advertisements at the back of the pages. You can get 40 paisa per advertisement easily if you keep 8 advertisements per page. It is still cheaper to pamphlet insertions to the newspapers they use.

Thus, you get 40 paisa * 8 advertisements = Rs. 3.20/- per page. If you can get 20 copies per minute, you can get 1200 copies per hour and 9600 copies per 8 hours, which are normal working hours. You can work more too. Per copy cost is around 20 paisa for paper and electricity. Thus, you get 9600 * 3 = Rs. 28,800/- per day. That comes to Rs. 8,64,000/- per month.

If you keep a person for photocopy, he may charge Rs. 9,000/- approximately per month. Rent is  Rs. 15,000/- approximately per month. Removing Rs. 15,000/- as marketing, contacting client and miscellaneous costs, you may get Rs. 8,25,000/- per month. That comes to Rs. 99,00,000/- per year.

Chances of growth are as much as you can. Purchase a brand new machine after a year, keep two, three, four or more machines and earnings multiply. Provide other free services like printing, binding, lamination and other services. Provide kundali, aadhar prints to customers for a minimal or no charge. Binding of books, thesis and other material is another big business. Online form fill up for applications of jobs and admissions are biggies too ! Just start giving free and then a brand name will work for you.

Earn Rs. 1 Lakh per month by making small bindi.

Can you think of several small things to be produced ? Asking different way, can you think of various small things and how they are produced ? Today, we are going to talk on a small item “ bindi “ and its production business.

According to the website Wikipedia, a bindi is a coloured dot worn on the centre of the forehead, originally by Hindus and Jains. The word bindu dates back to the hymn of creation known as Nasadiya Sukta in the Rigveda. Bindu is considered the point at which creation begins and may become unity. It is also described as "the sacred symbol of the cosmos in its unmanifested state".

A bindi is a bright dot of some colour applied in the centre of the forehead close to the eyebrows worn in South Asia ( particularly amongst Hindus in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka ) and Southeast Asia among Balinese, Javanese, Malaysian, Singaporean and Burmese Hindus. A similar marking is also worn by babies and children in China and, like in South Asia and Southeast Asia, represents the opening of the third eye. Bindi in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism is associated with ajna chakra, and Bindu is known as the third eye chakra. Bindu is the point or dot around which the mandala is created, representing the universe. The bindi has a historical and cultural presence in the region of Greater India.

How to produce bindi ? As shown on the website muvsi.in, The major raw material for bindi making is velvet cloth. Other things required include various stones, beads, adhesive, glue etc.. You may require two types of machines for bindi making. One is the bindi punching machine and the other is the bindi printing machine.

Bindi making process includes following steps.

  1.          Plan the design of the bindi.
  2.          Add gum to the cloth ( the main raw material ).
  3.          Use of various dies to print on it.
  4.          Cut the fabric into pieces.
  5.          Paste it on separate paper sheets.
  6.          Print the bindi.
  7.          Print the packing material.
  8.          Pack the bindis.
  9.          Make wholesale boxes and supply to retailers.
  10.    .   Use various marketing tools to market it.

What is the total cost of the project ? According to the website homebusinessideascenter.com, the total project cost is Rs. 4,50,000/-. Here the 300 square feet place costs is calculated as Rs. 2,00,000/-. The equipment cost is calculated Rs. 1,50,000/- and working capital is calculated as Rs. 1,00,000/-. If you have your own space or if you wish to start the business from your house, the total project cost is estimated as 2,50,000/-. The total production of bindis per year is estimated as 6,50,000/-.

The bindis are usually available in a pack of 4 to 20 and thus, we can assume that near about 1,00,000 packets can be produced a year. The price as shown on flipkart ranges from Rs. 55/- to Rs. 899/- for a pack. If we assume the average price as Rs. 200/- per pack, you can earn Rs. 20,00,000/- per year. If you remove commission to retailer and other marketing costs as Rs. 8,00,000/- per year, still you are earning Rs. 12,00,000/- per year. That means, you are earning Rs. 1,00,000/- per month !!!!.

Bring good smell to your business by producting insense sticks.

You may like to be a producer instead of small businesses in order to be an entrepreneur. If your answer is yes, you can start with a small production oriented business like producing incense sticks.

According to the website Wikipedia, India is the world's main incense producing country, and is a healthy exporter to other countries (though export sales have been troubled by increasing costs of the raw materials, and by other factors, such as Western countries buying unperfumed sticks, and by Indian companies producing fakes or imitations). Incense burning has taken place in India for thousands of years, and India exported the idea to China and Japan, and other Asian countries.

According to a research paper on the website researchgate.net, India is one of the largest agarbatti (incense sticks) producing country, which could capture both domestic and foreign market. Among  the  agarbatti  producing  states  Karnataka  leads  first  place  in  the  entire  country.  The  percentile  domestic  sale  of incense/agarbatti in South-India estimated as 35 percent, West-India accounted for 30 percent, North-India for 18 percent & East- India for 17 percent respectively. Significantly, about two-thirds of domestic consumption of agarbatti takes place in rural areas (61.23%). The demand for agarbatti is increasing day by day for both in domestic and export markets due to the availability of improved quality and varieties of incense sticks.

Have you seen movies like Finding Nemo, Spirited Away, Zootopia ? Toy story 1, 2 and 3, Wall E, Shrek, Finding Dory, Jurrasik Park series, Incredibles, Coco, Up etc.. ? What is common among them ?

In the advertising world, you may have seen M. T. S. Internet baby ad., You may have loved zozos from Vodafone. Dancing characters in Dairymilk ad. makes you dance ? Kitkat dancing babies and Happydent lightening city ads made you laugh. Isn't it ? Complan Takat ka bhoot motivated children like anything.

Again the common thing is animation.

Have you played games on your android like PUBG, World of Warships, Dragon ball Z Dokkan Battle, Ultimate Ninja Blazing etc. ?

Again the common thing is animation.

Animation is used everywhere. But, what is animation ? Who creates animation ?

Animation is the technique of photographing successive drawings or positions of puppets or models to create an illusion of movement when the film is shown as a sequence.According to Cambridge English Dictionary, an animator is someone who makes animated films, drawings, models etc..  According to Wikipedia, an animator is an artist who creates multiple images, known as frames, which give an illusion of movement called animation when displayed in rapid sequence. Animators can work in a variety of fields including film, television, and video games. Animation is closely related to filmmaking and like filmmaking is extremely labor-intensive, which means that most significant works require the collaboration of several animators.

But, How animation works ? Who does that ? How to be an animator ? How much he earns ? What are the growth prospects ? Let us see that.

How animation works ? Some animations work by using many drawings. To animate a dog running you can draw lots of pictures of the dog. When you move from drawing to drawing really quickly your eye will think the dog is running.
You can also use coding to make an animation. This way you don’t have to draw many images to make something move. Instead you can use words like 'move', 'turn', 'speed' and 'scroll'.

There are lots of types of animators like 2D Animator, 3D Animator, Key Frame Animator, Image Editor, Modeler, Character Animator, Texture Artist, Layout Artist, Lighting Artist, Story Board Artist, Background Artist, Clean Up Artist, Rigging Artist, Rendering Artist, Digital Ink and Paint Artist etc..

You need to know programming for animation of different types. There are lots of software for animation. To name a few, they are Autodesk Maya and 3ds Maya, Adobe Animate, Moho ( Anime studio ), Synfig studio, OpenToonz, Pencil 2D, TVPAint Animation, DigiCel FlipBook, TupiTube, Aladdin 4D, iClone, Blender, Animaker, Powtoon, Vyond etc.. You need to know anyone or a mixure of them.

Learning above softwares from renowned institutes is an experience worth taking. National Institute of Film and Fine Arts, Kolkatta,  St. Xavier's College, Kolkata, Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics, Mumbai, F X School, Mumbai, Zee Institute of Creative Art, Thane etc. are working in animation education.

After learning, one need to take a job or establish animation studio or organization. To mix animation with real life and creates movies like Hollywood and Bollywood, you need a bit costly studio while, to create animated drawings or advertisements, you may need only a high configuration computer with some loaded softwares among above.

You need to market that you are an animator and you can create good animation. You need to create some free animation and put on media like youtube or other internet media. You need to create advertising agencies, moviemakers or whomsoever needs animation. Better communication with better pricing of projects will lead you to be a successful animator. Product - the animation must be better of course ! Selecting right clients will lead to growth !

How much an animator earns ? If we look to job market, a Multimedia Artist or Animator in U. S. will normally receive average salaries somewhere between $ 48000 and $ 72000 based on education and experience on yearly basis. This directly converts approximately Rs. 33,50,000/- to 50,00,000/-. Staying in India, your salary may be between 1,00,000 to 10,00,000 per year. An animator can make higher salaries based on their performance, skills and experience. Creative Director jobs on naukri.com and monsterindia.com pays highest as 50 lakhs per year ! Highest paid animators make more than 75 lakhs per year !

If you own your business, you can earn a lot more than this. You can take independent projects which may make you earn a lot. If you have creative mind with marketing flair, sky is the limit for you !!!!.

Rs. 50,00,000/- per year from newspaper distribution. !!!!

To deliver newspapers at your doorstep at 6 in the morning, the distributor has to reach at the distribution office at around 3.30 a. m. He has to reach whether it is winter or summer or monsson. The delivery person gets the newspaper at 3.30 a. m. and count the bundles and then send them to their own offices or at some center points from where he can distribute to delivery persons. At the point, if he has to insert pamphlets in it, he does that. Around 4 a. m., the papers are classified according to areas and then given to various delivery boys who are employees of the distributor. Each delivery boy starts the journey at around 5 a. m. And distributes the newspaper to each house and can cover daily around 300 - 350 houses in 3 hours. Simultaneously, he distributes magazines too if any.

How the distributor earns ? The distributor has two sources of income. One source is from commission which newspapers give. They give around 30 % - 35 % commission. For example, if any newspaper has cost of Rs. 3/-, Rs. 1/- is given to the distributor. Second source is from pamphlets. For inserting 100 pamphlets, he can get from Rs. 15/- to 30/-.

Let us count the profit. Let us assume a distributor has 10,000 customers. He gets Rs. 10,000/- for the day plus pamplets will provide 2000 - 3000 per day. Thus, in a day he gets Rs. 12,000/- per day. That counts to 3,60,000/- per month. Delivery boys salaries are approximate 3,000 per month. If he keeps 30 delivery boy ( counting 1 delivery boy distributes 300 - 350 papers ), the cost comes Rs. 90,000/- per month. Thus, the distributor can earn Rs. 2,70,000/- per month. That comes to Rs. 32,40,000/- per year.

The distributor can earn extra by magazine distribution and retail shop of selling newspapers and library of magazines and newspapers after 9 a. m.. Evening newspapers distribution is another avenue where he can earn extra. If from magazine distribution, library and evening newspaper distribution, we count almost half earning from morning newspaper distribution, he can reach the total figure at around 50,00,000/- per year.

Ad Agency : From 1 lakh investment to 17 billion revenue. !!!!

Marketing is said as need satisfaction. But, marketing does more than that. Marketing creates need and then satisfies the need. To do so, marketing is largely dependent on advertising. We like advertising in any form. Technically, advertising is defined as any paid form of non personal presentation by an identified sponsor. It means advertising is paid, advertising does not include direct in person communication and it must be given by any identified sponsor. We like few advertisements and we don't like few advertisements.

Advertisements use many media like television, internet, newspaper, magazine, vehicles, other miscellaneous media etc.. Print media is one of the oldest form of advertisement media. Print media is largely covered by newspaper advertisements. Print contributes a significant portion to the total advertising revenue, accounting for almost 41.2 per cent, whereas TV contributes 38.2 per cent, and digital contributes 11 per cent of the total revenue. Outdoor, Radio and Cinema make up the balance 10 per cent.

We may have question that how print media works ? Can any newspaper run in the cost which they charge from customers ? Definitely not. The media have to be dependent on advertisements. Advertisements cover the costs and is a large part of profits for any newspaper. But, how these advertisements are received by newspapers and how they manage ?

To answer this, we must understand advertising agencies world ! Advertising agencies are well aware of how to create advertisements for the newspaper and how to make it appear on the pages of the newspaper. They do find customers who wish to give advertisements to the media. They prepare the advertisements as per the customer's wish and then manage to print. But, how they earn ?

Advertising agencies are usually a contract between the media and the agency. The media usually charges some deposits at the initiation of the advertising agency and then explains the agency person how to take the advertisement and then how to make it reach to the media. The agency contacts customers and charges the same price of whatever the media charges from the customers. To give the advertisements in proper format and direct from agency, the media gives commission to the agency. The commission ranges from 1 % to 20 % and usually for normal size advertisements, it is 15 % of the price of the advertisement. The price of advertisements vary from newspaper to newspaper, circulation, location of the specific page, layout and others. But, definitely, it is a win - win - win situation. For media, it is a win because they have to handle few agencies only and they get the advertisements in proper format. For customers it is a win because they get advertisements prepared with better professional ideas from the agency at the same rate of media. For agency it is a business !

For beginning, one need a computer with table and chair ( may be at home ), few thousands as deposits and above all - a creative and marketing mind. In total, less than lakh rupees are the requirement.
Growth chances ? Much more than many businesses. One can be a full advertising agency with electronic media presence and multinationals as clients.
How much an agency can make ? WPP group globally makes $ 17 billion i. e. 170 crore dollars. Omnicom group globally makes $ 14.5 billion i. e. 145 crore dollars. Huge ! Is it ? In India, DDB Mudra is leading advertising agency with 1100 employees.

Toy repair shop.

According to www.businesswire.com, Indian Toy Industry is expected to grow at a CAGR of 20% and be valued at INR 248.83 billion by the year 2020. The main reason for the growth of the toy industry is the growing population of the country. The toy industry has changed after the advent of globalization and liberalization in India in the early nineties. With the melting of international trade boundaries, a flow of Chinese toys accessed the Indian market.
Looking to Indian middle and upper classes, we love our children. We care, love and pamper them. We purchase a lot of things for them. A lot of things include toys. Toys make a world which is the most loved world by our children. We see our children playing with toys and when the toys are broken, we throw them to waste bucket. But, have we ever thought that what would happen to that broken toys ?
Yes. You rightly thought. Recycled. The toys are repaired and made new and sold again. We again pay a huge price of new toy to the same recycled toy. Instead of that, can we think of repairing them ? Possible.
Toy repairing is not new thing. It has changed its cleaver altogether only. Before few decadeds, when toys were a bit pricy for people, they used to repair them. But, mostly the toys are not made of electronics and plastic. They were made up of either clay or iron or mechanical raw materials. Today, toys are made up of electronics and plastic and we throw them when broken thinking they can not be repaired. But, they can be repaired if you have a bit knowledge of electronics and plastic and some skills !
If you are living in a city having population of 20 lakhs, 5 lakh is the families and mostly 5 lakh is the population of children playing with toys. Toys are costly and most toys are of more than 300 rupees. Out of that, 5 % is 25,000, and on an average if a child breaks a toy per 2 months and you get orders for repairing of only 50 % of the toys, you may get 6250 orders per month. That is 208 orders per day ! If repair charge is kept minimum to Rs. 50/- ( only service charge, cost of any purchase by you is extra. ), the amount you get is Rs. 10,400/- per day i. e. 3,12,000/- per month and 37,44,000/- ( 18 lakhs ) per year. If removing cost of rent of a shop, advertising cost and keeping a technical person's pay assuming 7,44,000/- per year, the profit reaches to 30,00,000/- ( 30 lakhs ) per year.

Home service provider.

Today's world is very busy. Everybody is running. We can't have time to do various activities for self or family. This condition is everywhere and specifically in large cities. Imagine in this condition if your water tap is leaking or plaster of your house is deteriorated or you forgot to pay the electricity bill. This will be really a headache.
Now think of some service which is ready to do every small task for you at a negligible cost. May be around in one digit per day ! Amazing, is it ?
Yes, you thought it right. You can start a business of providing various small services to the house. Carrying retail, bringing medicines, electricity and telephone bills, corporation taxes, banking services, insurance services, driving, maid services, plumbing, electric work, electronics repair, auto repair.... you can think of unlimited services which can be provided.
You have employees who are serving these customers. You just have to keep several contacts with all service providing persons and then decide their charges which must be standard. You have to develop the relationships with them and concentrate on the quality and trustworthiness by the consumers. Voila ! you can get a huge market.
For example, let us say you are staying in a city of 20 lakh population. It means almost 5 lakh families are there. If you get just 5 % of the population as customers, you get 25000 customers. Let us say fees as 1500 per year for the services and the revenue is 3,75,00,000/- i. e. 3 crore 75 lakhs. The charges for masonary work or some work which requires technical skills are extra. Keeping a person for 100 customers per day, assuming he can handle 100 queries per day would lead you to 250 persons whose cost may be 8,500/- per month. The cost is 2,55,00,000/-. The cost of rent of the office and other contingency cost may be assumed as 20,00,000/- per year maximum. The profit comes as 1,00,00,000/- i. e. one crore. This is a huggggggggggge profit. The management of the employees, keeping an eye over quality services would lead a great business.
